2. Objective:

To verify the accuracy of the developed wave measurement radar by installing it on a ship and comparing it with wave information provided by the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA).

3. Key Features:

- Accuracy test for wave data (wave height, period, direction, etc.): Comparison test with wave data provided by KMA near the M/V ULSAN TAEHWA route.

- Test to confirm wave detection distance: Comparison of theoretical detection distance and actual measured distance through shipboard test.

4. Equipment Installed: Radar and wave extraction server

5. Results:

- Summary of test results: Comparative analysis of radar data and KMA data showed some numerical differences, but the trends were the same. (For example, when the wave height according to KMA data changes from 1 to 2, the radar data shows 1.2 to 2.2.)

- Comparison of actual results with planned results: The detection range was planned to be 900m or more, and the actual detection range was 920m.
